How to book the driving theory exam in Armenia

Two steps on roadpolice.am: sign in and reserve a slot. With a video, plus three things worth knowing first — how long the queue is, which office to pick, and the cancellation window.

Booking is entirely online and takes two steps: you sign in, then pick the service, the office and the day. Here is what that looks like:

Step 1. Sign in

On the home page, pick the «Հաշվառման քննական ծառայություններ» card — registration and examination services. In the window that opens, enter your public services number and your phone number, confirm that you are not a robot, and press the button. You will then get an SMS code, which is entered on the next screen.

⚠️ On the English and Russian versions of the site this field is mislabelled «Password» and «Пароль». You do not need to think one up — it is the code that arrived by SMS.

Step 2. Reserve the slot

Pick the service — «Վարորդական վկայական ստանալու տեսական քննություն», the theory exam for obtaining a driving licence — and then the registration and examination office.

At this point the page appears to freeze for a few seconds: both lists go grey and the date heading turns red. That is normal, just wait. The date field then fills itself in with the earliest free day. All that is left is to pick a time, enter your email address and press «Ամրագրել կտրոն» — reserve the slot.

Three things worth knowing first

  • The queue is measured in months, not days. On 28 July 2026, the earliest date the site offered for the Yerevan office was 9 November. That is about three and a half months out. Book early, even if you do not feel ready yet.
  • Picking a different office is a real way out. Yerevan is the busiest by far, and a regional office can have a much closer date. There are 13 offices in total, and the «Ամենամոտ օրը» button next to the field jumps straight to the earliest free day.
  • You only get one cancellation. You can cancel a booking exactly once, and only within 5 days of making it.

Quick answers

Can I book on someone else's behalf? For an individual, only the holder or the person receiving the service can make the booking.

Why doesn't the SMS code arrive on the same screen? Because it is a separate step: the window changes after you press the first button.
