Are you required to make a signal with a indicator light in this situation? — Tesakan

Are you required to make a signal with a indicator light in this situation?

The “End of lane” sign and the arrows show that your lane is ending. Moving into the right lane is a maneuver, and you must always give a signal before it, whether or not there is a car there.

The left lane ends, as the “End of lane” sign (5.15.6) and the road markings (1.19) show. To keep going, you must change to the right lane. Under the Rules (clause 36), before any maneuver, including a lane change, the driver must turn on the turn signal. This requirement applies whether or not there are other vehicles nearby.

Option 2. Changing lanes counts as a maneuver, and turning on the indicator is required for it.
Option 3. Signaling before a maneuver is always required and does not depend on other vehicles being present.
