Is a truck driver allowed to overtake a bus traveling at 60 km/h? — Tesakan

Is a truck driver allowed to overtake a bus traveling at 60 km/h?

After the sign on a blue background, the rules for populated areas do not apply, so even a heavy truck may drive at up to 70 km/h and cross the broken line to overtake a bus going at 60 km/h.

The populated area sign on a blue background (5.25) means that the speed limits for populated areas do not apply on this road. Outside populated areas, a truck heavier than 3.5 t may drive at no more than 70 km/h (clause 69). Since the bus is going at exactly 60 km/h, the truck driver may legally drive faster than the bus to overtake it, crossing the broken line (marking 1.5). If the sign had a white background, the limit would be 60 km/h, which would make overtaking impossible without speeding.

Option 1. There are no signs prohibiting the maneuver, and the speed limit in force lets the truck drive faster than the bus.
