Do you have to stop in front of the "stop line"? — Tesakan

Do you have to stop in front of the "stop line"?

The green light of a working traffic light overrides the “No entry without stopping” sign, so you do not have to stop in front of the stop line.

The traffic light signal is green, which allows you to proceed. Working traffic lights override the requirements of priority signs, including the “No entry without stopping” sign (2.5), so you may carry on without stopping in front of the stop line. The sign applies only when the traffic light is not working.

Option 1. You would have to obey the “STOP” sign only if the traffic light were not working or were flashing yellow.
