What does the sign under the sign mean? — Tesakan

What does the sign under the sign mean?

The “Zone of effect” plate with arrows shows the length of the section with dangerous turns. Without the arrows, it would show the distance to where they begin.

The plate with vertical arrows on both sides of the number is the 8.2.1 “Zone of effect” plate. When it is placed under the 1.12.2 “Dangerous turns” warning sign, it tells you the total length of the road section with dangerous turns, which in this case is 100 meters. This helps drivers judge how long a stretch of road they must stay alert on before the road straightens out.

Option 1. This describes the 8.1.1 “Distance to object” plate, which has no vertical arrows beside the number.
Option 2. There is no additional plate that shows the distance between successive turns.
